Patch 1 Patch notes
Greetings Mercenaries,
We have the first post-release patch for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries - Chaos Reign ready to deploy this coming Monday, June 15th at 10:00 AM Pacific.
This update addresses a number of issues reported by the community since launch and includes fixes and improvements based on player feedback. Thank you to everyone who has submitted support tickets, shared feedback, and reported bugs through our various community channels.

Bug Fixes
Performance
- Fixed memory leaks when scrolling through inventory in the MechLab and Marketplace screens.
- Optimized memory usage in the front end.
Gameplay
- Fixed torso twisting and arm locking issues in First Person Control Mode.
- Fixed a controller issue when you are unable to reverse when Throttle Decay is enabled.
- Fixed an issue where Aim Assist does not function in Career Mode for Ballistic or Missile weapons.
- Fixed an Arena AI issue where sometimes enemies did not prioritize attacking the player or were idle until engaged.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes AMS remained active on destroyed 'Mechs.
- Improved lancemate AI to reduce chances of getting stuck off the navmesh.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes no pilots would appear in an industrial hub after loading.
- Note that when loading a save before the patch will cause nearby previously visited systems to regenerate their markets/barracks.
- Arrow IV weapons are now properly impacted by Cantina upgrades.
- Clan 'Mechs no longer spawn in Markets from factions with them in their roster before the Clan Invasion.
- Fixed an issue when accepting the High Reward Quest: A Dragon in Sheep's Clothing, where the contract did not appear on the Starmap.
- Adjusted the cockpit view audio of C-AMS when firing.
Mech Database
- Fixed an issue where the Database completion did not reflect 'Mech ownership from imported pre-DLC8 saves.
- Fixed a Database bug where some longer 'Mech names would get partially cut off when selected.
- Fixed a typo in the Database screen.
UI
- Fixed a crash that could occur in the Mechlab.
- Selecting bulk trade arrows now wrap around to the total amount.
- Fixed a HUD issue where the ECM icon overlaps elements in specific screen resolutions.
- Fixed a Starmap issue where Clan Factions are listed as operating markets when the owned faction is hidden.
- Fixed an issue where Smoke Jaguar disappears from the Starmap after 3060.
- Fixed faction ownership of various systems after 3057.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes new news stories would not appear on some saves.
'Mechs
- Catapult missile hardpoints now change based on equipped weapons.
- Increased all DLC8 hero 'Mech upgrade slots from 6 to 8.
- Night Gyr NTG-JK now properly spawns in markets.
- Fixed the Kodiak KDK-2 Jump Jet effects.
- Adjusted the Annihilator hitbox along the neck area.
- Fixed the appearance of ballistic weapons on the Annihilator ANH-IR
- Fixed the clipping RT Laser on the King Crab KCG-001.
- Fixed gaps and geo on the Gladiator-B.
- Daishi DWF-B now properly shows the Gauss Rifle when equipped to the Medium Ballistic hardpoint.
Weapons
- Fixed the Clan and IS Arrow IV Half Ammo tonnage.
- Adjusted the Arrow IV Ammo introduction date to match the weapon.
- Autocannon 5 Rapid Fire cooldown reduced from .5s to .375s.
