Greetings Mercenaries!
We’re excited to roll out a new game update (Coming this week) packed with features and improvements for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. This update adds Japanese language support, introduces the Clan Interdiction system, and improves AI combat behavior to make your lancemates and enemies more responsive in battle.
The patch also includes a bounty of bug fixes and performance updates. You should see improvements to overall stability, mission flow, Arena combat, and refinements to 'Mechs, weapons, and pilot traits. From new features to more reliable systems, every drop should feel more MechWarrior than ever.
We hope you enjoy this patch and the improvements it brings to MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, all of its DLCs, and gameplay systems. - Fixed Clan pilot barks appearing with non-Clan enemies.
- Fixed issues with multi-mission contracts breaking when conflict zones changed.
- Improved elemental spawns on Beachhead missions.
- Improved spawns in Raid and Objective Raid missions against Clans.
- Fixed NPC idle animations in the tutorial.
Arena Mode
- Fixed placement of contracts on Clan-controlled worlds.
- Fixed doubled text on Arena contracts.
- Fixed issues with adjudication not triggering when over tonnage/unit count.
- Fixed enemies not spawning or spawning underground in some maps (e.g., Ishiyama Caves).
- Fixed issue where enemies far from the player did not move.
Mechs & Weapons
- Adjusted Vulture MMD-Prime and MMD-A default weapon groups.
- Adjusted Nightstar ragdoll.
- Fixed geometry on Puma lower torso.
- Fixed materials on Bullshark damage model.
- Fixed materials on Ryana’s hands.
- Adjusted slot tooltips on Koshi MLX-P.
- Added missing open slots to Ryoken SCR-Prime.
- Clan Streak SRM half ammo capacity corrected.
- ATM 9s now properly appear under Clan tech in markets.
- Fixed Chem Lasers and Rifles not spawning in markets.
- Updated descriptions for Clan Streak SRMs and Clan Active Probe.
- Fixed issue with equipping two active probes in the same hardpoint.
- Balanced Mech affinity traits to be less common.
Pilots & Training
- Max traits capped at 6 (existing pilots with more retain bonuses).
- Adjusted pilot training logic:
- Certain traits (Fast Learner, Hands-on Learner, Bookworm) no longer gained from training.
- Fixed issue where pilots in training displayed incorrect trait counts.
- Fixed issue with pilots training without required faction standing.
- Pilots with max traits/stats can no longer be trained.
- Fixed display issue with recovery-related traits post-mission.
- Added traits to Hero Pilot Capt. Shenzeng.
Art / Visuals / Animation
- Adjusted Clan Machine Gun and AMS VFX.
- Fixed broken materials in new biomes (Ice Shelf, Cryoglacial World, Carbonic Wilderness, Purple Canyons, Arctic Terrain, Sub Arctic).
- Adjusted lighting and character visuals inside DropShip holotable area.
- Improved holotable animations; fixed headless Spears bug.
- Improved Atlas II melee cockpit animation.
- Fixed large lamp posts in garrisons not being destructible.
Other Gameplay / Systems
- Fixed issue with Clan tech appearing in Arena Fame Rewards too early.
- Added Clan factions to Team Combat list.
- Corrected system ownership from 3049–3057.
- Added new academies: Blackjack School of Combat, Melissa Steiner School (with adjusted dates).
- Updated/edited academy descriptions.
- Improved Rival Mercenary spawns after 3050 (Bad Dream, McCarron’s Armored Cavalry, Crater Cobras).
- Fixed Co-Op host takeover of AI Mechs after death.
